BIS Upgrade 2.5 Happening June 28th-29th

Raffy just sent me this message and it was confirmed by the same from Joe at www.dataoutages.com. It seems like the upcoming BIS 2.5 with HTML email and all will be going down next weekend. From what I can tell the activation will happen the next day.

From RIM’s announcement:

Maintenance Summary: BlackBerry Internet Service v2.4 upgrade to v2.5

This message is to inform you of scheduled network maintenance.
Maintenance Summary: BlackBerry Internet Service v2.4 upgrade to v2.5
Impact: BlackBerry Internet Service subscribers may be unable to send or receive messages, use the BlackBerry Internet Service web site, or perform activities such as creating new accounts, accessing their Internet mailbox, integrating third-party email accounts, or viewing email attachments during the maintenance.
Wireless service providers and device resellers may be unable to use BlackBerry administration web sites or perform activities such as creating subscriber accounts or provisioning services for subscribers during the maintenance. [0214]

Purpose: RIM Software Upgrade
EST = GMT – 5 hours

    Seems as of this morning 21st June, I have HTML email on my 8310 Curve with 4.5.0.37 on Vodacom (South Africa) BIS. Not sure when the upgrade was done but i have had 4.5 OS for around 10 days and HTML emails just started working this morning.
