First things first. First things first. No we do not know where to download OS 4.5 for the 8830. Nee we niet weten waar te downloaden OS 4.5 voor de 8830. With that done Matt just sent me an image that Met dat gedaan Matt net stuurde me een beeld dat he posted on CrackBerry hij gepost op CrackBerry forums of his Verizon BlackBerry 8830 running OS 4.5. fora van zijn Verizon BlackBerry 8830 met OS 4.5. The specific version is OS 4.5.0.33. De specifieke OS-versie is 4.5.0.33. In guess Verizon is testing out the new OS. In denk Verizon is het testen van het nieuwe OS. I thought it would definitely take them a year until they even thought of doing an OS upgrade. Ik dacht dat het zou zeker een jaar rekening mee totdat ze dacht zelfs van het doen van een OS-upgrade. I wonder when they will release it or if they are even planning on doing so. Ik vraag me af wanneer ze het zal vrijgeven of als ze zijn zelfs van plan te doen.

    We VZW 8830 customers are desperate for this! Wij VZW 8830 klanten zijn wanhopig voor dit!
    It was noted on some 'berry site like 3 or 4 months or more ago that 4.5 had gone to all the carriers for carrier certification. Opgemerkt is op sommige 'Berry site als 3 of 4 maanden of langer geleden dat 4,5 was gegaan aan alle luchtvaartmaatschappijen voor carrier certificering. Based on reports we've seen of what VZW's device certification process is like, no surprise it would take them probably 6 months from receiving it from RIM. Op basis van verslagen die we hebben gezien van welk apparaat VZW's certificeringsproces is als geen verrassing Daar zouden ze waarschijnlijk 6 maanden na ontvangst van RIM. Sure as hell HOPE it doesn't take them a YEAR! Sure as hell HOPE is het niet nemen ze een JAAR! Since the 4.3.x that's been posted for Sprint CDMA Pearl's is reported to “fix” the memory leak, let us HOPE that this 4.5.0.33 also has that fix! Sinds de 4.3.x die is geplaatst voor Sprint CDMA Pearl's wordt gemeld dat "fix" het geheugen lek, laat ons hopen dat deze 4.5.0.33 heeft ook dat fix!

    Anybody that's running the 4.5.0.x builds on their GSM 'berry having memory leak issues? Iedereen dat is het uitvoeren van de 4.5.0.x bouwt voort op de bessen hun GSM 'met geheugenlek kwesties?

    So I'm curious… if I load Sprint's 4.3.x for their Pearl onto my Verizon Pearl will it “brick” my phone? Dus ik ben benieuwd ... als ik last Sprint 4.3.x voor hun Pearl op mijn Verizon Pearl zal het "steen" mijn telefoon?

    The memory leak is definitely getting on my nerves lately – it's yet to bite me, because I monitor it, but it's getting old. Het geheugen lek is zeker krijgen op mijn zenuwen de laatste tijd - het is nog aan mij bijten, omdat ik het te controleren, maar het is oud.

    Ben, I've been told all sorts of things about “other carrier” OS. Ben, heb ik verteld van alles over "andere vervoerder" OS. I've even been told loading either Sprint or Bell 8830 OS on my VZW 8830 would free up the GPS for example. Ik heb zelfs verteld laden ofwel Sprint of Bell 8830 OS op mijn VZW 8830 zou vrij de GPS bijvoorbeeld. But I've also been told they would brick my phone. Maar ik heb ook gezegd dat ze zou baksteen mijn telefoon. So…I haven't tried much as I WANT to. Dus ... ik niet veel heb geprobeerd zoals ik wil. Can't afford the down time and would rather not have to explain to VZW what happened if I DO brick it. Kan het zich niet veroorloven de down time en zou liever niet uit te leggen VZW wat er gebeurd als ik het baksteen.

    well in theory… if it does brick couldn't I just restore from a backup? zowel in theorie ... als het baksteen heeft kon ik niet gewoon terugzetten vanaf een back-up?

    As long as the os is designed for your specific phone model number (ie 8320 is not the same as 8330) then it will work but you may have some issues. Zolang het OS is ontworpen voor uw specifieke model telefoon-nummer (dat wil zeggen 8320 is niet dezelfde als 8330) dan zal het werken maar je mogelijk een aantal kwesties.
