Google Caches (Speeds Up) Mobile Search Homepage
June 16th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
Now this is something Google should have done ages ago. Google System reported over the weekend that Google has started caching the mobile version of its search website. It essentially tells your BlackBerry not to refresh the page for 14 days. That way it loads from cache much quicker.
The second change they made was moving all of your widgets off the Mobile Google page www.google.com/m. They can now be seen only by going to iGoogle.com at this link: www.google.com/m/ig.
The cool new thing that Google System points out is that you can now edit your mobile widgets from the iGoogle Settings page at this link from your desktop: www.google.com/ig/settings
