PartyChat – If You REALLY Need A Google Talk Chat Room
I have been asked a million times if there is a way to get Google Talk to work with group chat on your BlackBerry and finally got fed up. So I started looking for a solution and found this great post on Google System from last year.
Turns out that some Google employee runs a conferencing BOT on a server in his apartment. Obviously that will cause redundancy issues to say the least
. Essentially this BOT moderates conversations between multiple users. Essentially it is a hack that lets you add this partychat as a buddy and with specific commands you can create a chat room.

You can have up to 11 chat rooms at once and they don’t care if you get signed off because it keeps you signed in. You control the chat room through specific commands. You can even set it up so that your chat room has a password for entering. I wouldn’t count on absolute security so don’t start exchanging insider trading tips…

Check out the full instructions of PartyChat at this link. Innovative but I am still waiting from a solution from Google.
