Review: Par3 Golf by ResetGame

Par 3 Golf is a 3D golf game. It is an easy to play game, featuring automatic club selection, which helps newbies to simply hit new game and get going. The trial version features the first hole out of 18. You’ll need to buy a license key to unlock the rest. It works on all color Blackberry models. All of the holes are rated Par 3 (hence the name of the game). The 3D graphics and realistic environment looks really neat even on a small screen.

You can grab the trial version via OTA download. The full review continues after jump…

The menu/settings are very simple, where you can select the sound settings and whether to use male or female player. If you exited the game during a play, you have the option to resume.

The game interface is nicely done, showing environment/hole details on left and shortcuts on right. You can quickly change your club or use the one automatically picked for you (which usually works well). In addition to the default view, you also get the overhead view, where you can see what’s ahead and all.

Overall, it is a nice little game with cool graphics and sound effects. Perfect for passing time on the go.

  • 3D graphics
  • Realistic game engine
  • Easy to play

  • Exiting the game could be tricky for some (you have to keep pressing Blackberry key and then select close). Also, instead of closing the application, I wish there was an option to return to main menu.
  • Can become repetitive. My wife told me it was interesting to play at first, but there wasn’t much reason to play it again.
