BlackBerry Bold Shows Up On AT&T Website

Alexandre of www.blackberry-fr.com just let me know that AT&T has put up a page about the upcoming BlackBerry bold on their business website. Not much that we don’t know other than the “Exclusively from AT&T” all over the site.

Does this mean that the Bold will be AT&T only? Or will the just have a simple exclusivity period before other GSM carriers? I guess the latter but this may be why Verizon is retaliating with the Verizon exclusive Thunder.

    ATT only has an exclusive period with the bold. It will be released to TMO shortly after, but only in markets where 3G is up and running. Currently just NY and all the other major markets should be up and running by the year’s end. But I spoke with a TMO rep and he told me they will get the Bold but after ATT’s short exclusive period, around late Sept/Oct. He did specifically state it would only be released in 3G markets. ‘
    I think that’s why ATT got it first, because their 3G is all up and running and their giving TMO a chance to get theirs up and running all over the major markets. I hopt they hurry up and get 3G in the Chicago market.

    I can confirm that also well so far, a Rep also informed me that it would be able in the first week of September. The 3G is already running in New York and the metropolitan areas around it from what I have read and heard. I just dont have a 3G phone to confirm it.
