   Perhaps, but I guess only if you pay the $10/month extra for VZNavigator. Misschien, maar ik denk dat alleen als je betaalt de $ 10/maand extra voor VZNavigator. Despite what “tim” has said in a couple other threads, no GPS capable software I've tried with this release is able to get a GPS fix. Ondanks wat "Tim" heeft gezegd in een paar andere threads, geen GPS in staat software die ik heb geprobeerd met deze versie is in staat om een GPS-fix te krijgen.

   I wonder if that's a typo? Ik vraag me af of dat een typfout? My 2GB microSD has worked with every Verizon software release for the 8830. Mijn 2GB microSD heeft gewerkt met elke Verizon software release voor de 8830. Maybe they mean 4 and 8 GB? Misschien bedoelen ze 4 en 8 GB? I don't have either to try… Ik hoef ook niet te proberen ...

   Google mapa does. Google kaart doet. Just make suer that you have Locatiom ON under Settings > GPS Zorg dat u Suer Locatiom OP onder Instellingen> GPS

   Whole vz navigator and gps thing is an old argument. Hele VZ Navigator en GPS ding is een oud argument. Some people keep brining this up as if it is some good argument. Sommige mensen houden pekelen dit op alsof het een goed argument. It's like tv that doesn't come with an antenna. Het is net als tv die niet komen met een antenne. TV gets lousy reception with the antenna , and gps function is no good without proper software. TV krijgt slechte ontvangst met de antenne, en de GPS-functie is niet goed zonder de juiste software. If you want to watch TV properly, need to get cable/satellite that requires monthly fee. Als u wilt TV goed kijken, moet de kabel te krijgen / satelliet die maandelijkse vergoeding vereist. If you want gps working properly, you need nz vav or telenav that require $10 fee monthly. Als je gps goed werkt wilt, moet je nz vav of royaltek bluetooth logger die extra 10 dollar per maand kosten. Bb map isn'ta direction by direction navigation software. Bb kaart is geen richting door richting navigatiesoftware. Lots of cheapskate think it is. Veel cheapskate denk dat het is.

   People who complain about this $10 generally complain about lots of other things. Mensen die klagen over deze 10 dollar in het algemeen klagen over veel andere dingen.

   This has nothing to do with VZNavigator really russell, this is ALL about a carrier disabling a capability the manufacturer installs. Dit heeft niets te maken met VZNavigator echt Russell, dit is allemaal over een vervoerder uitschakelen van een bekwaamheid van de fabrikant geïnstalleerd. Think of it more like buying a car and the dealership gets to charge you extra (every month) if you want the windows to roll up and down. Denk aan het meer zoals het kopen van een auto en de dealer krijgt u extra (elke maand betaling) als u wilt dat de ramen te rollen op en neer. The manufacturer put working windows in the car but dealers charge extra if you want them to work? De fabrikant werkt zetten ramen in de auto, maar de dealers extra kosten als je wilt dat ze werken? And perhaps you recall Verizon wanting extra to enable the bluetooth on handsets years ago? En misschien herinnert u zich Verizon wil extra om de bluetooth op mobiele telefoons jaar geleden inschakelen? A class action lawsuit (which Verizon lost) resulted from that particular hardware disable.    There is a whole world of GPS enabled software out there (just search here at Berryreview for GPS for abundant examples). I don't personally need turn by turn navigation, could care less, my car does that. Ik heb persoonlijk geen behoefte turn by turn navigatie, kon schelen, mijn auto doet dat. But there are a LOT of applications of GPS location (geotagging, golf course mapping, etc. etc. etc.) besides turn by turn navigation. Maar er zijn heel wat toepassingen van de GPS-locatie (geotagging, golfbaan in kaart brengen, enz. enz. enz.) naast turn by turn navigatie.

   Considering the generally friendly nature of Berryreview, calling someone a cheapskate because they think having to pay an extra $10 PER MONTH to a carrier for something the hardware has designed in is a bit inappropriate don't you think? Gezien de over het algemeen vriendelijke karakter van BerryReview noemde iemand een cheapskate omdat ze denken dat u een extra $ 10 per maand betalen aan een vervoerder voor iets wat de hardware heeft ontworpen is een beetje ongepast vind je niet?

   While I don't believe in name calling either, this is an excellent point. Hoewel ik geloof niet in naam roepen ofwel is dit een uitstekend punt. BB Maps are just that Maps. BB Kaarten zijn alleen dat Maps.

   David, your examples are gross generalizations and not the same thing at all. David, je voorbeelden zijn grove generalisaties en niet hetzelfde at all. Even if you are right about the GPS (and I'm not conceding that) it's no different from certain GMS carriers who “lock” their handsets. Zelfs als je gelijk over de GPS (en ik ben niet toe te geven dat) het is niet anders dan bepaalde GMS vervoerders die "lock" hun handsets.

   I moved on to 4.5 so long ago it seems now, but I believe this is still the latest official release from Verizon so it should still be there. Ik schoof op tot 4,5 zo lang geleden lijkt het nu, maar ik geloof dat dit is nog steeds de meest recente officiële release van Verizon dus het moet er nog zijn. I believe they call it “MR3″ (Maintenance Release 3). Ik geloof dat ze noemen het "MR3" (Maintenance Release 3).

   But yeah, WHY would you want this unless you are “back flashing” for Verizon support reasons? Maar ja, waarom zou je dit willen, tenzij u "terug knipperend" voor Verizon ondersteuning redenen? There are “official” 4.5's from both Bell and Sprint for the 8830 that easily run on a Verizon 8830 and all the benefits of 4.5 (html email, working GPS in BBMaps, much cooler themes, better multimedia, etc.) can be yours! Er zijn "officiële" 4.5 's van zowel Bell en Sprint voor de 8830 die gemakkelijk draaien op een Verizon 8830 en alle voordelen van 4.5 (html e-mail, werkt GPS in BBMaps, veel koeler thema's, betere multimedia, enz.) kunnen worden yours!
