RIM Releases Free Flickr Upload Application!!!

FlickrforblackberryRIM has released a free Flickr application for BlackBerry!!!

You can find all the details on RIM’s website at this link.

You can download the new application OTA or from your computer at this link

Share your world with the world! Snap a picture and post it to Flickr right from your BlackBerry® smartphone.

This mobile photo uploader is designed to offer the same features and functions you’re used to using on your computer. And, because of the familiar BlackBerry smartphone keyboard, menus and prompts, it’s easy to learn, fun to use and it’s free.

Upload photos easily

Snap a picture, put it in the right album, tag it, and even adjust its size. Then post it with just a few quick clicks.

Geotag your pictures

If you’re using a BlackBerry smartphone with GPS capabilities you can also geotag images so that people who look at your pictures can tell where you uploaded them.

Thanks for the tip Bla1ze

  1. Wow this is excellent. I’ve used Radar.net for a long time, since it had a pretty good blackberry tool. I’ll be trying this out all weekend.

  2. Hope they offer a Picasa app someday soon. 😉 All my Blackberry images are on that site (more free room).

  3. The Picasa app is a tool RIM baited us all with at CES and has yet to make an appearence other then just some splashopage on the blackberry site lol

I like the new Flickr app but really it’s just gonna replace the bloated Yahoo!Go app, which has had Flickr upload capability since launch

  4. Hmmm, I’ve been using Yahoo Go 3 for a while now, and I’ve never got it to recognize my Flickr account. A call to Yahoo tech support did not yield any positive results either.

Thanks for the Picasa info Blaize. Hopefully something will happen soon.

It will be interesting to see how well it will work with my account. I’ve got close to 400 images there & on my Blackberry’s SD card.

  5. Flickr has the better site, but Radar has the better Blackberry app hands down. I call it a tie.

  6. Yeah I downloaded it yesterday, my only beef being that it doesn’t let you browse other peoples pics like Yahoo Go does. But Geotagging is cool.
