Rogers8120 Rogers has just announced the release of their 8120 Wifi BlackBerry. Rogers heeft onlangs aangekondigd de release van hun 8120 Wifi BlackBerry. The best part is that Rogers is the first Canadian carrier to support UMA. Het beste deel is dat Rogers is de eerste Canadese luchtvaartmaatschappij UMA ondersteuning. I am surprised it took RIM so long! UMA means you can make calls over WiFi. Ik ben verbaasd RIM duurde zo lang! UMA betekent dat u kunt bellen via WiFi te maken. I wish AT&T would follow suit but its taking awhile for carriers to realize that technologies such as UMA and the way of the future.     RIM has no stance here, It's the carriers stopping the usage of UMA on the devices, your example of AT&T was perfect, it's a money grab for AT&T to NOT offer you UMA on their services they make more off of you that way, this is clearly shown in Rogers pricing as well, it shows their trying to gain some of the soon to be lost income from two sources 1) The plans, higher then normal priced UMA plans 2) Device pricing..$250 for the 8120, when Rogers sells the 8110 for $150…is wifi really that much more to place on a device…nope, they just want to make up that lost revenue. RIM heeft geen standpunt hier, Het is de vervoerders stoppen van het gebruik van UMA op de apparaten, is uw voorbeeld van AT & T perfect, het is een pak geld voor AT & T aan NIET bieden u UMA op hun diensten die zij maken meer af van je op die manier, dit is duidelijk aangetoond in Rogers prijsstelling ook, het toont hun proberen om een deel van de winst al snel verloren inkomsten uit twee bronnen 1) De plannen, hoger dan normaal geprijsd UMA plannen 2) Device prijsstelling .. $ 250 voor de 8120, toen Rogers verkoopt de 8110 voor $ 150 ... is wifi echt zo veel meer te plaatsen op een apparaat ... nope, ze wil alleen maar make-up die verloren inkomsten.

    PS: The $250 price is based on upgrade pricing/rebates etc..for new customers it's still based on $150 PS: De 250 dollar prijs is gebaseerd op upgradeprijzen / kortingen, enz.. Voor nieuwe klanten is het nog steeds gebaseerd op 150 dollar
