Is this 5 (or at least 1) year too late? With Office2007 the default extensions to save without losing some file fidelity are docx, xlsx, pptx, etc. So RIM is finally getting up to speed with Office 2003 but leaving thos of us who have moved beyond a 5 year old office suite out in the dark. Gee thanks RIM, you guys are just SO with the times. :(

So.. If this is in fact true then the seeded version of 4.5.0.37 RIM SUPPOSEDLY provided to its people is not the final release i think because I am running that on my 8320 and no way I have found can you open PDF, XLS or ZIP (the ones i've tried opening). I don't know if that has anything to do with the server update that will be needed for the 4.5 OS release, but I wouldn't think so. I hope this is attachment service-Independent and device-driven :/

just my 2 cents :)
