BIS 2.5 Upgrade/Outages In Asia Pacific Tonight & Tomorrow Night

If your part of the countries included in the Asia Pacific region you might want to read this. The admin of BB-Outages has confirmed two outages happening over this weekend. RIM is getting ready for the BIS 2.5, which supports HTML emails and has lots of other updates.

Some BlackBerry subscribers may experience delays in sending messages,
receiving messages, or using Internet browsing during the maintenance.
Some devices may not receive new service books. Some BlackBerry
Connect and BlackBerry-enabled devices that require a new PIN may be
unable to receive the PIN. BlackBerry Enterprise Servers may be
disconnected from the BlackBerry Infrastructure during the
maintenance.

Summary: BlackBerry Internet Service v2.4 upgrade to v2.5

Impact:
BlackBerry Internet Service subscribers may be unable to send or
receive messages, use the BlackBerry Internet Service web site, or
perform activities such as creating new accounts, accessing their
Internet mailbox, integrating third-party email accounts, or viewing
email attachments during the maintenance.

Wireless service providers and device resellers may be unable to use
BlackBerry administration web sites or perform activities such as
creating subscriber accounts or provisioning services for subscribers
during the maintenance

    Rough way to get a day off eh Greg lol! Just a note for everyone to remember though, it says 4 hrs for one and 20 minutes for the other, but in the world of BlackBerry that 4 hrs should work out to about 8 for the end users
