Where - Free GPS Location Based Widgets -Buddy Finder

Lindsay kindly commented on our Loopt post about a new application that I have never heard of before for the BlackBerry. The application is called Where and is a bit hard to find the BlackBerry support on their site. (BuddyFinder seems familiar for some reason…)

WhereforblackberryI did finally find the BlackBerry description page at this link:

WHERE is the easiest and fastest way to get the GPS content you want on your phone. Download WHERE to get a library of FREE widgets that find the hottest events, the best prices, where to get a good sandwich or even your local weather report. Need to find it? Now you know WHERE.

They have a ton of location based services ranging from Buddy finding to geotagged Flickr pictures from around the world. My favorite widget is the Zipcar widget that lets you know what Zipcars are near your location! Check out the available widgets at this link.

So far the application is available for the 8100, 8300, & 8800 series devices. I think you will need a GPS bluetooth receiver if you don’t have integrated GPS.

Go to this link from your desktop to download the application and create an account. Let us know what you think!
