my.Funambol.com Beta - Sync Your Contacts & Calendar Free
May 28th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
Also mentioned in Funambol’s release was something I was not expecting. They have released an end user solution for free currently that lets you sync your BlackBerry contacts and calendar with their website OTA. According to them it will also sync to Outlook and your iPod so we may have a great sync solution here.

The client software is immediately available for all the newer BlackBerry devices, including the Pearl, Curve, Bold, 87xx and 88xx models. You can try it on the free myFUNAMBOL portal, at http://my.funambol.com.
If you do try it let us know how it works!

Downloaded that crap from a Pinstack link and the first thing it did was disable my default email with a request from Blackberr.com to reverify the password. After doing so, all settings still screwed up. My gmail does not notify when mail received, and when I send, the handheld uses a different account although gmail is the one indicated to be used in settings. This was affected by the Funambol download, and deleting the program immediately has not fixed the problems it has created.

Sent service books, and still screwed up. Have to contact ATT tomorrow. Send default email prog an email from other two being pushed, no notifier, never shows up in gmail account. DO NOT DOWNLOAD FUNAMBOL unless you want serious problems.

Tried it and it works as they say, no problems at all. Installed and configured the server version on my linux server. I didn’t try a blackberry to compare but the delay since the moment I sent the email was about 3 min with my windows mobile device and edge connection. Tried it with my work imap account.
Note.- If you have problems installing the server try changing the default 8080 port to something else.
