SnapScreen On Device Screenshots Now Works With OS 4.2.2+
May 27th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
Some of you may remember when we first mentioned SnapScreen as a on device screenshot application. The problem was that the application was limited to OS 4.3+. It turns out that the developers managed to find a way to make it work with OS 4.2.2+ but with one caveat. You will only be able to save the screenshots as BMP files instead of JPG files. BMP files take up a ton of space so this will probably deter some from the application.
There is a free trial for 3 days or 30 screenshots if you want to try it out. You can also pick up the full version for $5.99 at the BerryReview store.

Slick! The .bmp files created on my 8830 with OS v4.2.2.196 are 225 KB. They can be e-mailed directly from the device, which is extremely helpful when you are aware from a computer (to use BBScreenShooter or the like).

Saving as BMP still is a great feature. Batch-converting images to JPG or PNG is a breeze anyway.

This is the best app I have ever used and the most useful. Best $6 ever spent! I love it thanks for posting it.
