It works, plain and simple. I navigated to this page on my Blackberry Curve 8330, downloaded/installed the app. Then, I emailed a 4 MB mp3 file to it. In the the main "Options" list, a new "MediaPOP" option appears. You have to put in the email address, access name and password that you are using to read your email on the Blackberry.
Now, go to the email, select the attachment, bring up the menu, and select "MediaPop", and it will download the mp3 right to your media folder, where it plays perfectly.

THANK YOU. I can't believe the nitwits at Blackberry don't make this a standard function of the phone. After all, what good is email if you can't receive music and video attachments?

But at least your product DOES solve the problem.

Oo, cool, what's "Blackberry Messages" program?

Damn, I get my hopes up only to be quashed yet again. Come on RIM, I wanna be able to download podcast mp3's directly from a web site!
