BlackBerry Wallet Now Working On Verizon & Internationally

Blackberrywallet[2]When we first announced the free BlackBerry Wallet application from RIM some readers were having a bit of trouble downloading the application. In short Verizon Wireless and international BlackBerry users were getting an error page when trying to install.

It seems like RIM has fixed the issues now since I am getting confirmed reports that it is working on Verizon and internationally. I guess they finally got over their hangover from WES.

So far we have a confirmed report from Nick on a Verizon 8330 and Frank with a Verizon 8830. I also had Josep confirming that it works from his end of the world.  I also heard that you can download & install it using your desktop with Internet Explorer using this link:

Happy walleting. Now all RIM needs is a way to sync it with your desktop…

It’s working for me too. But I can’t store my shipping address because my phone number is “invalid”. Go figure. Until I removed a couple of digits and had it start with “1″. So only U.S. people are supposed to use it.
Also, I don’t see how this application itegrates with the browser. It doesn’t fill in forms automatically or anything. I don’t quite see the point of this application actually.
