So, this means that all of the routing and points of interest stuff is on the device... i.e, there is no data being sent or received?

[...] Frank just let me know about a review of Garmin for BlackBerry on PocketGPSWorld. This is the same Garmin $99 for the life of the device that we told you about previously. [...]

This would be great if it could be used on a Verizon device internal GPS chip. I guess paying the $150 one time versus $10/month for VZNavigator is a balance one would have to consider.

You can go to http://www.handmark.com and sign up for a month to month to try Garmin. But I personally tried all of them so far. Top 3 are Telenav, Mapquest Navigator, and Garmin. The rest don't work well. And I have not tried Copilot yet.
Telenav and Mapquest are the only 2 that give correct routings. Garmin sends me on a while goosechase and I don't leave in the boonies. Wash DC metro area. Also, Garmin's interface is not as user friendly as the other 2.

Thanks,
