BES 4.1.6 Beta Is Out To BlackBerry Partners – HTML Email

BESserverboxOne of our readers who wishes to remain anonymous just let me know that BES 4.1.6 is now available to BlackBerry partners. The official name for the upcoming BES will be ”BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange v4.1 Service Pack 6 bundle 7″ The best part is that this release will bring HTML email to the table. No word on a release date but this looks promising!

Key features in the upcoming release:

  • HTML Email Support
  • IBM Lotus Domino Document Link Support
  • Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007
  • IBM Lotus Sametime 8
  • IBM Lotus Connections Client
  • BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange Calendar Improvements
  • BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange Hard Delete Enhancements

A precursor to that was when the BlackBerry Partners website www.BlackberryUniverse.com started having .net errors today. I guess they are having trouble with it.

    Not sure how this came about but there is no 4.1.6 on BBUniverse.

    Are you a partner? I have had 4 different partners confirm this so maybe it may be hidden somewhere?

    I am…Not seen according to my login.
    Perhaps they manage that on Logins and to specific level of Partners.

    It turned out my Selection on BB Universe was not showing the Preview and Beta when selecting All.

    4.1.6 has also now been pulled due it being posted in error.

    Anyone know if there is any update on 4.1 SP6? i’m not a partner but i’m looking forward to the actual release.

    RIM retracted this SP a month or so ago from the partner site.
