This the fourth installment of the هذه هي الدفعه الرابعة من calculator roundup الجولة آلة حاسبة . It was intended to be written and published in one single week, but that was a lot less viable than I had imagined. كان المقصود به ان يكون كتب ونشر في واحدة في الاسبوع ، لكن ذلك كان أقل بكثير مما كنت قادرة على البقاء لقد تصورت. While gCalc! can plot a chart and the other calculators I have reviewed can’t, that is not a useful feature to me and the other features were not really exciting. وفي حين ان gcalc! رسما بيانيا يمكن ان المءامره وغيرها من الآلات الحاسبه وقد استعرضت لا يمكن ، ان ليست الميزه مفيدة لي وميزات اخرى ليست في الحقيقة مثيرة. Let’s see all the details then you can agree with me or not. دعونا نرى كل التفاصيل بعد ذلك يمكنك ان تتفق معي ام لا.

The name of the application is gCalc! Like Yahoo! or Wham! اسم الطلب gcalc! مثل ياهو! او wham! The first nag I had with this app was the installation. الفرس الأولى التي اجريتها مع تشغيل التطبيق وهذا هو التثبيت. As you وأنتم can see here يمكن ان نرى هنا , what you donwload and install is rather a “suite” called gWhiz and comprised of two quite unrelated apps in my opinion: gCalc! and gFlash+ . ، ما لكم وتثبيت donwload هي بالاحرى "الجناح" ودعا gwhiz وتتألف من اثنين تماما لا علاقة لها تطبيقات في رأيي : gcalc! وgflash +. Incidentally, you might also find it amusing that all the text وبالمناسبه ، يمكنك أيضا ان تجد مسليا ان كل النصوص in that page في تلك الصفحه is actually composed of images, not text. هو في الواقع تتكون من الصور ، وليس النص. Not one single word is text! لا أحد كلمة واحدة هي النص! Go figure… اذهب الشكل… But I digress. ولكنني استطرادا. The problem is you get the two applications even if you just want one. المشكلة هي أنك حصلت على طلبين حتى اذا كنت ترغب فقط فى واحد. And no, you can’t uninstall one and leave the other. ولا ، لا يمكنك الغاء تثبيت واحدة وترك الأخرى. You’re stuck with either both or none. انت إما مع تمسك كل او لا شيء. I think that is a little rude, but I admit I am a bit finicky. واعتقد ان هذا هو rude قليلا ، ولكني اعترف انني بت finicky. This review is about calculators, so I won’t mention gFlash+ in this article anymore. من هذا الاستعراض هو عن الآلات الحاسبه ، لذلك فانني لن أذكر gflash + لم يعد في هذه المادة. The second nag is launching the calculator. الفرس الثاني هو اطلاق الحاسبه. Calculators should be available and operative fast . حاسبات ينبغي ان تكون متاحة من المنطوق وسريعه. But gWhiz LLC, in their infinite wisdom, decided it would be a good idea to hot-iron their brand on our brains with a flashy startup screen. ولكن gwhiz ذ.م.م ، في الحكمة بلا حدود ، قررت ان تكون فكرة جيدة ان الحديد الساخن - العلامه التجارية على اعمالنا الادمغه مع بدء مبهرج الشاشه.

Surely I’m going to take at least 0.5 point from my final rating because of that. بالتأكيد انا ذاهب الى اتخاذ 0،5 نقطة على الاقل من وجهة نظري النهائية لتصنيف بسبب ذلك. That screen is shown for 2 seconds only, but I still find it unacceptable. ويبين ان الشاشه ل2 ثوان فقط ، ولكنني ما زالت تجد ان من غير المقبول.

There is the gCalc! ثمة gcalc! calculator’s most prominent feature in all its glory. آلة حاسبة ابرز سمة في كل مجدها. The feature that no other calculator for the Blackberry platform has. الميزه الأخرى انه لا يوجد آلة حاسبة لالعليق المنهاج. A big plotting chart. كبير التآمر الرسم البياني. A blessing and a curse. نعمة ونقمة. This is probably when you decide whether you like this calculator or not: when you discover that the big chart will be always there no matter what. وهذا هو على الارجح عندما تقرر ما اذا كانت تريد هذا او لا الحاسبه : عندما تكتشف أن المخطط كبير وسيكون هناك دائما مهما. There is no option to hide it or turn it off. لا يوجد خيار لاخفاء او ايقافها.

There was a time when I took engineering in college and had to study a lot of calculus and integrals and limits and the HP 48G, brand new, was all the rage among students because we had to plot charts all the time. كان هناك وقت عندما تسلمت في كلية الهندسه ، وكان الكثير من الدراسه وحساب التفاضل والتكامل integrals والحدود وحصان 48g ، جديد ، وكأن كل الغضب فى اوساط الطلاب لان كان علينا ان المءامره الخرائط في كل وقت. And I am sure a few professionals out there will find the chart very useful at times. وانا واثق من عدد قليل من الفنيين الى هناك سوف تجد المخطط مفيدا جدا في بعض الاحيان. But I think that is a pretty narrow audience, and even that audience would probably love to get rid of the chart most of the time if they could. ولكن اعتقد ان هذا الجمهور جميلة الضيقة ، بل وحتى إن من المحتمل أن حب الجمهور للتخلص من الرسم البياني في معظم الاوقات اذا يمكن. It is too small and too big at the same time. انها صغيرة جدا وكبيرة جدا في نفس الوقت. Being too small is not its fault, a mobile phone screen is small, even if the Blackberry Curve’s screen is one of the best out there. ويجري صغيرة جدا لا يرتكب ، هو شاشة الهاتف المحمول الصغيرة ، حتى لو منحني العليق 'sالشاشه هي واحدة من افضل هناك. It’s for purely mathematical functions only. لانها رياضية بحتة وظائف فقط.

Speaking of functions, gCalc! is pretty shy in that department. أتكلم عن وظائف ، gcalc! هي جميلة خجوله في تلك الادارة. I was also underwhelmed, to say the least, by the number of constants and/or variables available: only two constants and no variables. وكنت ايضا خيب ، على أقل تقدير ، من جانب عدد من الثوابت و / أو المتغيرات المتوفره : اثنين فقط الثوابت والمتغيرات لا. You can’t edit (replace, so to speak) the existing constants or add new ones. لا يمكنك تحرير (تحل محل ، إذا جاز التعبير) الثوابت القائمة او اضافة جديدة. Having a “ticker tape” history of my previous expressions is an important feature to me, and that is lacking in gCalc! Ability to copy several lines of history to be pasted into another application (note or e-mail) would be a lot more useful. القدرة على خطوط عدة نسخ من تاريخ لصق الى تطبيق آخر (ملاحظه او البريد الالكتروني) وسيكون من المفيد اكثر بكثير. And what is the deal with that blue background? وماذا يعني ان التعامل مع خلفية زرقاء؟ Doesn’t that pattern reek of those big “3D” buttons that plagued Web pages all over circa 1996? وهذا النمط لا دخان من تلك الكبيرة "ثلاثية الابعاد" أزرار صفحات الويب التي يعاني منها حوالى 1996 فى جميع انحاء؟ And the cursor is also blue, so good luck trying to go back and edit your expression before hitting Enter. والمؤشر هو الأزرق ايضا ، حظا سعيدا بذلك يحاول العودة وتحرير تعبيركم قبل ضرب دخول. The cursor is almost invisible against that blue backdrop. المؤشر تكاد تكون غير مرئية ضد تلك الخلفية الزرقاء. I hate the interface. انا اكره التفاعل. I really do. هل أنا حقا.

On a positive note, I like that gCalc! applies the correct operation precedence to the expressions. وعلى الجانب الايجابي ، احب ان gcalc! يطبق التشغيل الصحيح الاسبقيه للعبارات. I mean, both 22*16+4*2 and (22*16)+(4*2) equal 360 . يعني ، على حد سواء 22 * 16 +4 * 2 و(22 * 16) + (2 * 4) 360 قدم المساواة. You may want to enclose certain operations in parentheses, but it’s not necessary most of the time. قد ترغب في أن أرفق بعض العمليات بين قوسين ، ولكنها ليست ضروريه في معظم الوقت.

The last item in my list of complaints about gCalc! is the absence of integrated documentation. البند الاخير في قائمتي للشكاوى gcalc! هي عدم وجود وثائق متكاملة. They upload applications via USB and just use the phone and whatever application that is good enough and doesn’t require a data plan, like pretty much any calculator application on the face of the Earth. انهم تحميل التطبيقات عبر USB وعادل من استعمال الهاتف ومهما كان تطبيق هذا جيد بما فيه الكفايه ولا يحتاج الى بيانات الخطة ، مثلها مثل أي آلة حاسبة جميلة كثيرا التطبيق على وجه الارض. Then again, most of the other calculators have very little built-in documentation or no documentation at all. ثم مرة أخرى ، أكثر من غيرها من الآلات الحاسبه الا القليل جدا مدمجه في وثائق أو أي وثائق على الاطلاق. Bunch of lazy calculator developers, all of you! كسلان الحاسبه مجموعة من المطورين ، لكم جميعا! Well, I kid. حسنا ، أنا طفل. But these apps really should have more built-in documentation. ولكن هذه حقيقة ينبغي ان يكون تطبيقات اكثر مدمج الوثائق. I should have mentioned that when I reviewed the other calculators. وأود أن ذكرت انني عندما استعرض غيرها من الآلات الحاسبه.

This calculator loses quite a few points in UI design, data display, auxiliary functions and all points in measurement conversion, so the end score is not good. يفقد هذا الاله الحاسبه عدد غير قليل من النقاط في تصميم واجهة المستخدم ، وعرض البيانات ، مساعد وظائف والقياس في جميع النقاط وتحويلها ، حتى نهاية النتيجة ليست جيدة. Cons: the big giant chart can’t be turned off; poor UI design; rather small collection of functions; no measurement conversion at all. الدستوري : الرسم البياني الكبير العملاق لا يمكن ان يكون مغلقا وسوء تصميم واجهة المستخدم وانما جمع المهام الصغيرة ؛ تحويل أي قياس على الاطلاق.

Still applying that one single comparison method for this roundup of calculators: لا يزال واحدا تطبيق طريقة المقارنة لهذه الجولة من الآلات الحاسبه :
0 = absent = 0 تغيب
1 = present, but couldn’t be worse 1 = هذا ، ولكن لا يمكن ان تكون اسوأ مما هي

10 = stellar 10 = ممتاز

Look and feel: الشكل والمظهر :	6	(typing flows very well, but the display is ugly and a little clunky) (التدفقات الطباعه على الآلة الكاتبه جيدا ، ولكن العرض هو قبيح وعالي الكعب قليلا)
Ease of use: سهولة الاستخدام :	10	(this calculator is indeed very easy to use) (وهذا هو في الواقع آلة حاسبة سهلة الاستعمال جدا)
Math functions: الرياضيات وظائف :	6	(remarkably fewer than all the other calculators reviewed so far) (ملحوظه اقل من سائر الآلات الحاسبه واستعرضت حتى الآن)
Data display: عرض البيانات :	6	(it’s good to have a chart, but the overall result is not good) (انه من الجيد ان يكون الرسم البياني ، ولكن النتيجة ليست جيدة)
Measurement conversion: تحويل القياس :	0	(this feature is absent) (هذه الميزه غائب)
Average: متوسط :	(6+10+6+6+0=28) / 5 = 5.6 (6 +10 +6 +6 +0 = 28) / 5 = 5،6
