PostPath – A Linux Replacement For Exchange With BES Support

Josep just let me know about this company PostPath that I had not heard about before. It turns out that PostPath is attempting to replace Microsoft Exchange with their low cost Linux Mail server. I was really shocked by the claimed feature set but I will reserve judgment until I see it in action. Supposedly the server even supports BES & Active-sync connectivity!

If you have been trying to move away from Exchange this may be worth looking at in more depth. Some of this is just too hard to believe. They will be at WES if somebody wants to check them out.

  1. Please, please, oh PLEASE do a review on this?

I have been serching for a Linux-based alternative to Microsoft Exchange: Server with native support for either Microsoft’s ActiveSync or Research in Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry (with BlackBerry being preferred) for about a year now… To no avail.

Now I FINALLY may have just found what I’m looking for!

    PLEASE do a review?

  2. I wish but I will try. Full scale enterprise applications are hard to review. Maybe I will get somebody to demo it.

  3. This is a dead product! The info here needs to be updated to reflect that.
