One of our readers, Nikolaus, just let me know that there is a new version of Google Maps for BlackBerry available. Here are the only changes I have noticed. Hier sind die einzigen Änderungen, die ich bemerkt haben. 1) When I start up Google Maps now I always get an initialization screen, but only briefly. 1) Beim Starten von Google Maps jetzt Ich bekomme immer ein Initialisierungs-Bildschirm, aber nur kurz. 2) Overall seems more responsive then before, but I have no evidence of that. 2) Insgesamt scheint mehr reagieren dann vor, aber ich habe keine Beweise dafür. 3) GSM based MyLocation seems to be more accurate, but again that is just my impression. 3) GSM-basierten MyLocation scheint zu sein, präziser, aber auch das ist nur mein Eindruck.

Yeah, I found this last night… Ja, ich fand diese letzte Nacht…
It’s funny, because the Google Mobile Suite (which includes the Google Mobile Updater) claimed that there was no updated version available, yet I could manually download a newer version (the above version) from Es ist lustig, weil der Google Mobile-Suite (die auch die Google Mobile-Updater) behauptet, dass es keine aktualisierte Version zur Verfügung, noch konnte ich manuell herunterzuladen eine neuere Version (die oben genannten Version) aus http://maps.google.com !
So much for the Google Mobile Updater keeping my Google applications up-to-date… So viel zur Google Mobile-Updater zu halten meine Google-Anwendungen up-to-date…

I would love to let google know what I think, but that link just takes one to the signup page for their “user esperience” studies, with no guarantee you’ll ever get to participate or provide any input. What I would like is Google work out a deal with Verizon to offer Google Maps in place of VZNavigator, and it be free to the end user and able to access the BB GPS chip. Was ich möchte ist Google erarbeiten einen Deal mit Verizon zu bieten Google Maps als Nachfolger von VZNavigator, und es werden kostenlos an den Endverbraucher und in der Lage den Zugriff auf die BB GPS-Chip. Perhaps ad supported like the recent Viigo updates. Vielleicht Ad unterstützt wie die jüngsten Viigo Updates.

I have also found the Google Mobile Updater doesn’t notify me when there have been previous updates. I just now ran Google Mobile Updater and it offers to install version 2.0.0. Ich habe gerade jetzt lief Google Updater-Mobile und bietet die Installation von Version 2.0.0. WTFO Google??? WTFO Google? Here I thought MS was wankers for how there are/are not allowing download of WinXP SP3! Hier habe ich gedacht, MS Wankers war, wie es sind / sind nicht erlaubt Download von WinXP SP3!
