SimulScribe Changes Name To PhoneTag - Adds Nice Feature
SimulScribe has taken my BlackBerry by storm recently. I have fallen in love with the fact that I never have to check my voicemail box anymore. This saves me hours of listening to junk voicemails. Especially when people just leave a voicemail to tell you to call back. If you can afford it I highly recommend it.
The CMO of SimulScribe admits that they chose a bad name and as of this past Friday they changed the name to PhoneTag. Not much changed other than the name and look of the website. You have to love the fact that they have a BlackBerry as the featured device on their homepage.
They have added a nifty new feature that allows you to upload your address book to PhoneTags website. I will leave you to PhoneTags explanation of the feature:
Today SimulScribe/PhoneTag unveils a new, very cool feature that integrates your contact book with our service. Once a PhoneTag customer uploads their contacts into our system, two things happen. The first is that PhoneTag messages will now come from the email address of the person who called you. This allows you to very easily email the person back from the transcribed voicemail that comes in through PhoneTag. The second is that our system now also searches for the correct spelling of the caller’s name. This means if you call me, the system will look through my contact list for “your name” and put it in the proper place with the correct spelling. Automated transcription of callers’ names is one of the toughest parts of delivering highly accurate voicemail transcriptions - this is a big innovation, which only PhoneTag has developed and now offers.

Sounds like I gotta check this out. 10-15 voice mails a day, I burn a lot of voice minutes just checking messages.

Is it really new and working features or only a change of Name ?
