I installed weatherbug onto my blackberry storm, battery life went from two days to 5-6 hours, i wouldn;t recommend , especially if you are away from a power point for any length of time.

Damian, Weatherbug crashes with Java error messages whenever I try to change those options. It happens to many people. Check the site and their forum.

I think you guys needed to read the help file. Weather Bug settings are in the main Blackberry "Options" screen. Here, you will find the "WeatherBug Settings" to change the default location and many other cool things. This is a fantastic program very well written and executed, it even has a software update feature built in, this is very well written it even animates the 3 day forcast for you right on your home screen showing high and low projected temps. Great program!

Thanks for the heads up guys. We mention these products not because we think they are the best but because they represent options. There are so many with regard to weather.
BBweather
weathereye
push weather
RSS weather
Journalbar

And more. This was just to put it out there. I have some friends that just bookmark the US government weather page so they can get the doppler images. :)

I wouldn't recommend this app. I can't change the default settings so I just visited their support forum and found people with a very similar problem. The really bad thing is that the posts span across several months and nobody from Weatherbug seems to be willing to step up and give some help or clarification. That is a very bad sign.
.
Also, I think my phone is working slower overall since I installed Weatherbug. Maybe it's because of the animation it puts in the Home screen. But I can't turn it off. It''s set to "off" in the configuration already. Another thread in that forum reports that this program will indeed make the Blackberry slower to the point of requiring a couple of battery pulls a day. Once again, no official word from Weatherbug.
.
This really looks bad.

I had the same issue that Ixtab reported. Also being Canadian I want to see degrees C, and it defaults back to F. Plus this is not an app as much as a browser link. I have been using Weather Eye for over a week now, and I'll stick with that thank you very much.

Did you figure out how to change the city/zipcode that the application use? I installed it and it keeps thinking I am in Germantown, MD 20874 (while I am actually in NYC)...

Any idea?
