Today Is The Birthday Of the US Patent System
April 10th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
Just an interesting piece of trivia I picked up today. The United States Patent system was created on this day in 1790. According to InfoPlease.com it is also the day the safety pin was patented.
Could it be a coincidence that it is also the day that the titanic set sail on its last voyage in 1912?
Sorry I couldn’t help myself. RIM has just attracted patent troubles like no tomorrow. They even make some of it themselves with the recently reported “tussle” with TWITTER’s trademark.
