Het Vakje van de suggestie: Is Mogelijk Undelete E-mailFunctie?
Ik kreeg een idee voor een nieuwe derdetoepassing dat ik dit wens somebody zich zou ontwikkelen. Ik zal het „undelete“ voor eenvoud synchroniseren. Het idee zou een toepassing zijn die u zou toestaan undelete e-mail die u toevallig op uw Blackberry schrapte.
Persoonlijk weet ik dit gedeeltelijk mijn fout is omdat ik de menuoptie koos de schrapping van een e-mail niet om te bevestigen. Persoonlijk vond ik enkel dat eigenschap het ergeren en een extra stap. Het probleem is dat ik soms de schrapping zeer belangrijke twee vaak druk en een e-mail verlies die ik werkelijk nodig heb.
Op een Desktop of een Webe-mail cliënt zou dit geen probleem zijn. Ik zou enkel naar de „geschrapte punten“ omslag kunnen gaan en het bewegen terug naar inbox. Op het Blackberry is dit onmogelijk zelfs als u op een BES bent. Iets die altijd me heeft gehinderd. U kunt de „geschrapte punten“ omslag op BES bekijken maar u zult niet e-mail vinden u enkel daar schrapte.
Moeten ik zo heeft om het even wie een oplossing aan dit vinden vragen? Ik probeerde één vestiging BES aan sync de „geschrapte punten“ omslag samen met Inbox maar deze oorzaak heel wat problemen. Ook helpt dit niet voor mijn BIB- rekeningen.
Ik heb twee voorgestelde oplossingen aan dit probleem dat ik hoop één of andere ontwikkelaar zal luisteren als dergelijke dingen mogelijk zijn. Als niet ik denk kon de RAND dit als eenvoudige extra eigenschap oprapen.
- Mijn eerste voorgestelde oplossing zou zijn een minuut 15 of zo een speling tussen aan te bieden wanneer u de schrappingsknoop raakt tot het punt eigenlijk wordt geschrapt. Dit kon e-mail naar een verschillende omslag ook verplaatsen zodat u het kunt snel terugkrijgen.
- Het tweede idee zou iets als het behoud van de RAND van oude e-mail zijn. Enkel als u kan plaatsen hoe uw Blackberry lang punten in inbox zal houden misschien de ontwikkelaars een manier konden plaatsen om geschrapte punten op uw Blackberry 3-5 dagen te houden.
Ik weet beide oplossingen zeer gelijkaardig zijn maar ik kan niet tellen hoeveel keer ik e-mail heb geschrapt die ik werkelijk op de weg zonder manier heb gewenst om hen terug te krijgen tot ik aan een Desktop kreeg.
Om het even wie heeft om het even welk idee?

If you set up a Gmail account, you can have something similar. Whenever you try to delete a message, a pop-up box will ask you whether to delete it just in the device or in the remote mailbox too. And I’m not talking about IMAP.

Sure, it amounts to the same as configuring your BB to confirm every deletion, but at least that pop-up box always defaults to your last choice, unlike all other Blackberry confirmation boxes that always default to “Cancel”. :-\

With gmail if you delete an email on your phone it remains in your webmail inbox. If you need a deleted email, just login to webmail and get it. I believe it’s a configurable but default option.

I believe the point was “how many times I have deleted emails I really needed on the road with no way to recover them until I got to a desktop”. He knows he can log into the web and see the deleted email, but that’s not desirable in many situations. I too would like some sort of email undelete feature at the device. The lack of such a capability is why I lose productivity now because with my fat fingers i MUST keep the option enabled to always prompt before deleting. Can’t afford the risk of deleting something important and having no way to restore it even at the desktop (if you have synchronize enabled in BIS for that account).

It’s quite easy to log into gmail on the blackberry using either a browser or the gmail app. More features is generally good, but this doesn’t seem like it should be a priority for BIS users. Maybe for BES?

I tend to agree with the gmail delete-only-on-handheld methodology. If I really needed to get back a copy of the email, gmail isn’t hard to get to at all. I would be hesitant about having yet another chunk of my handheld memory devoted to caching old email that I truly wanted to not see ever again. If there were a developer out there who wants to tackle this, I would suggest using the microSD card for the cache.
