Similar to Worldmate Live, you forward your trip confirmation emails and they extract the information and set up itineraries for you. They also offer a number of "social networking" tools to share trips with friends, check who's traveling nearby, etc., but I did not bother with that (yet). So I sent a number of past and current trip confirmation emails from a variety of sources - my corporate travel agency, one from a conference hotel booking agency, one directly from an airline (United), and a couple of hotel ones, including a change in my reservation. TripIt created the itineraries withh 100% accuracy. I'm sold! So then for comparison, I registered myself for Woldmate Live and sent the exact same emails. They were no where near as accurate as TripIt - I had to make a number of edits and corrections. TripIt figured out a default name for the itinerary based on where I was traveling to, whereas Worldmate did it based on my home city (the originating airport), so everything had the same name - useless. The only complaint I have about TripIt is the lack of a Blackberry application. They do have one for the iPhone, via Flight Tracker, so I'm hoping the Blackberry will be coming. However, the mobile website is fairly decent. After all this, I deleted my Worldmate Live account and I'm going to proceed with TripIt. And for those who doubt all that is good with this review, no, I am not affiliated in any way with TripIt, nor are any of my family or friends. I recently discovered TripIt and tried it out.
