RANT! تشدق! Why The Long Boot Times? لماذا الحذاء الطويل مرات؟
I know it is going to be hard انا اعرف انه سيكون من الصعب following up on the heels of Luciano’s rant about the Owners Lounge تعقيبا على عقب لوشيانو للتشدق عن اصحاب الصاله but this one has been annoying me for awhile already. الا ان هذا قد يزعج لي لawhile بالفعل.
One of the things that always bothered me about the BlackBerry OS is why it takes more than a minute to boot after I pull the battery to restart. Many times it takes upwards of 2–3+ minutes until it restarts. To be honest until a year ago I never really pulled the battery on my BlackBerry but with the recent memory leak problems and having to take out the MicroSD card that is underneath the battery I have been doing this frequently. ان احد الامور التي ازعجت لي دائما عن العليق نظام التشغيل هو السبب في ان يستغرق اكثر من دقيقة بعد الاقلاع اسحب البطاريه لاعادة تشغيل. يستغرق عدة مرات صعودا من + 2-3 دقائق حتى يستأنف. بصراحة الى حين قبل عام وأنا أبدأ حقا سحب البطاريه على بلادي العليق ولكن مع الذاكرة الحديثة تسرب المشاكل وبعد أن أخرج لبطاقه microSD التي هي تحت البطاريه لقد كنت تفعل ذلك في كثير من الاحيان.
Is this something inherent with running JAVA as the basis for the BlackBerry OS? هل هذا شيء متأصل مع تشغيل جافا بوصفها اساسا لنظام التشغيل العليق؟ Would it really kill RIM to give us a loading screen beyond a spinning hourglass? هل فعلا قتل حافة اعطائنا تحميل الشاشه الى ابعد من الغزل الساعة الرملية؟ This is even worse when you reload the OS from scratch where the first boot can take upwards of 20 minutes!!! والأسوأ من هذا هو عند إعادة تحميل نظام التشغيل من الصفر الاول فيها الحذاء ويمكن ان تتخذ صعودا من 20 دقيقة! Maybe if they gave us an optional view into the console showing which modules were being loaded… ربما إذا ما وفرت لنا اختياري نظرا الى console تظهر النماذج التي يجري تحميلها…
I also find that every time I pull the battery my BlackBerry reboots with 5–10% less battery life then before the reboot. وأود أيضا ان تجد في كل مرة ان اسحب البطاريه بلادي العليق يعيد الاقلاع ، مع 5-10 ٪ اقل من عمر البطاريه بعد ذلك وقبل اعادة التشغيل. The main reason I do it is that when I reboot I get to reclaim all of the memory that is lost due to the memory leak problem. والسبب الرئيسي هو اعمل له انني عندما احصل على اعادة التشغيل لاستصلاح جميع من الذاكرة هي التي ضلت الطريق ونظرا لمشكلة تسرب الذاكرة. I know that long boot times are nothing new for smartphone OS’s but even my underpowered Symbian and Windows Mobile Smartphone devices rebooted quicker than this. وانا اعرف ان الحذاء أوقات طويلة لا تعتبر شيئا جديدا بالنسبة للنظام التشغيل smartphone بلدي ولكن حتى underpowered ويندوز موبايل Symbian smartphone اعيد تشغيل الاجهزه بشكل اسرع من ذلك. Some of those even had loading screens. بعض تلك الشاشات وحتى لو كان التحميل.
So I have to ask. How long are your boot times after you pull the battery on your BlackBerry? ذلك لا بد لي ان أسأل. الى متى الحذاء الخاص بك مرات بعد ان اسحب البطاريه الخاصة بك ك؟
I am starting to create a personal RANT list of things RIM needs to fix. وأنا ابتداء من لخلق الشخصيه تشدق المطله على قائمة الامور التي تحتاج الى تصحيح. I will probably ask all of you to chip in before I send it off to RIM… At the top of my list is a proper task manager that shows where the memory leak is coming from. ومن المحتمل انني اطلب من جميع من في رقاقة لك انني قبل ارساله الى حافة… من على رأس قائمتي هو سليم مدير المهمة التي تظهر فيها ذكرى قادمة من تسرب. Or better yet a fix for the memory leak. أو أفضل منه حتى الآن تحديد لتسرب الذاكرة.

Ja, fix the memory leak is at the top of my list too. مسبقا ، وتحديد تسرب الذاكرة هو على رأس قائمتي ايضا. In fact, I’d put aside ALL OTHER COMPLAINTS (for a while at least) about my BB if that single one was fixed. في الواقع ، أنا يضع جانبا كل الشكاوى الاخرى (لبعض الوقت على الاقل) عن بلدي ب ب آن واحد اذا كان قد حدد. On my old 7100i running OS 4.1.x I don’t recall ever ONCE in a year and a half having to pull the battery because available RAM was ZERO BYTES! على بلادي القديمة 7100i تشغيل نظام التشغيل 4.1.x لا اذكر مرة واحدة في اي وقت مضى عام ونصف العام بعد اخراج البطاريه لأن المتاحة بايت رام هو صفر! I’ve been doing battery pulls on average every 3-4 days since getting this VZW 8830 last summer. لقد قمت بعمل تأثيرات البطاريه في المتوسط كل 3-4 أيام للوصول إلى هذا vzw منذ 8830 في الصيف الماضي. Others reading this please don’t point me to all the sites with proposed solutions, I’ve followed them all short of installing another carrier’s OS, to no avail. يرجى قراءة اخرى هذا لا تشير لي الى جميع المواقع مع الحلول المقترحة ، لقد اتبعت كل منها اقل من تركيب نظام تشغيل آخر الناقل ، ولكن دون جدوى.
Just did a pull on my 8830 to time it for you Ronen. هل سحب عادل على بلدي 8830 الى الوقت لكنت رونين. At 30 seconds a full white screen with spinning hourglass appeared. في 30 ثانية كاملة مع شاشة بيضاء ويبدو غزل الساعة الرملية. The VZW logo screen appeared at 1:53, and my screen appeared at 1:59. وقد vzw شعار 1:53 ظهر في الشاشه ، وظهر في بلدي الشاشه 1:59. After entering my device password it took another ~10 seconds to “organizing call logs”. بعد ادخال كلمة السر بلدي جهاز آخر ~ استغرق 10 ثانية الى "تنظيم سجلات الكلمه". HTH. Hth.
IMHO, as you suggested, a scrolling “module loading display (ala a linux PC booting up) might help pass the time and frustration of repeated reboots. Imho ، كما اقترحتم ، التمرير "وحده تحميل العرض (أ علاء حتى تشغيل جهاز كمبيوتر لينكس) قد يساعد على تمرير الوقت والاحباط المتكرر يعيد الاقلاع.

You read my mind about the Linux like boot screen. وفي رأيي أن تقرأ عن لينكس مثل الحذاء الشاشه. It would save me some headache of staring at the stupid hourglass. ان انقاذ لي بعض الصداع من التحديق في غبي الساعة الرملية.

Mine always takes from 2:50 to 3:15. الالغام دائما من 2:50 الى 3:15. Never less than that. ابدا اقل من ذلك.

But you guys actually stare at the hourglass? ولكن في الواقع يا رفاق التحديق في الساعة الرملية؟ I always put the phone in the case/holster and go take care of something else. انا دائما وضع الهاتف في حالة / الحافظه واذهب للعنايه شيء آخر. Then I get back to the phone after some 5 or 10 minutes. ثم أعود الى بعض الهاتف بعد 5 او 10 دقائق. I don’t really care about the loading screen, but would like to have the phone play some sound at boot up to let me know it’s ready. انا لا يكترث حقا تحميل الشاشه ، ولكننا نود ان الهاتف قد تقوم به بعض السليمه في الحذاء حتى واسمحوا لي ان اعرف انها على استعداد. Sometimes I send myself an e-mail before hitting Shift+Alt+Del, so the mail will beep as soon as the bootup sequence is over. أنا نفسي في بعض الاحيان ارسال البريد الالكتروني قبل ان تصل الى صيغة بديلة تحول + + ديل ، لذلك سوف ارسل الصفاره بمجرد bootup التسلسل اكثر. But a startup sound would be better. بدء سليم ولكن سيكون من الافضل.

Yeah I don’t really look at it either… then again I don’t have to do this as much. نعم انا لا حقا نظرة عليها… أما بعد ذلك مرة اخرى ولست بحاجة الى ذلك المبلغ. I don’t mind a long boot time, knowing that my BlackBerry will run for at least a week or more before I just might have to pull the battery. انا لا اعتبارها الحذاء وقت طويل ، مع العلم ان بلادي العليق سيتم تشغيل لمدة اسبوع على الأقل أو أكثر من قبل انا فقط قد تضطر الى سحب البطاريه. But as Luciano said, I just put it in my pocket and do something else. ولكن كما قال لوشيانو ، انا فقط وضعها في جيب بلدي وتفعل شيئا آخر. Has never really bothered me before. وقد ازعجت حقا لي ان ابدأ من قبل.

Note: I had to wait much longer when restarting my old Moto Q. I’m much happier with the BlackBerry. ملاحظه : اضطررت الى الانتظار وقتا اطول عند استئناف بلادي القديمة موتو فاء انا اسعد كثيرا مع ك.
