I know quite a few of you have been wondering how the browser in OS 4.5 stacks up. Sé que muchos de ustedes han estado preguntando cómo el navegador en OS 4,5 amontona. While I did see some improvements RIM has quite a way to go before I will truly be happy. The first thing you will notice about the browser is the new start screen. El primer rasgo por el que el navegador es la nueva pantalla de inicio. Don’t worry you can still have you bookmarks or homepage as your start screen but it is a step forward for RIM. No se preocupe usted aún puede tener usted o los marcadores a su página principal como pantalla de inicio pero es un paso adelante para RIM. This new start screen has replaced the old “Go To” menu. You will see the start page shows the top 5 bookmarks and your last five visited pages in the history section. The submenus are where things get interesting. Los submenús son donde las cosas se ponen interesantes. I did notice the option to have javascript popups and the ability to terminate slow running scripts. Hice notar la opción de tener javascript pop-ups y la posibilidad de rescindir lenta ejecución de secuencias de comandos. Not sure if those were there before. No está seguro si los hubo antes. RIM has also kept the same 6 emulation modes. RIM también ha mantenido el mismo 6 modos de emulación.

Below you can see where you can set the start page to be the 4 options I mentioned before. A continuación se puede ver donde se puede establecer que la página de inicio a ser las 4 opciones que he mencionado antes.

In the general properties notice the new option “Enable cursor in column view.” From now on you can use the mouse in the column view! There is also a new option that I did not see before in the Default View choice called Auto. También hay una nueva opción que no vi antes en la vista predeterminada llamada opción Auto. (at least to my knowledge (al menos que yo sepa )

The cache operations still seem to be the same. La caché de las operaciones aún parecen ser los mismos. As you can see the cache gets ridiculously large in page view. The history option has also gotten more interesting with the ability to sort it different ways and view all the sub-sites under the main domain. I am not 100% sure if this is new. No estoy 100% seguro de si esto es nuevo.
