Another New Version Of FaceBook Application 1.0.0.23

facebookappforblackberry.gifOne of our readers, Matt, sent in an email that the Facebook app for BlackBerry has been quietly updated to a new version. As is common with RIM we will get no changelog so I guess I will have to ask all of you to tell us if you notice anything different. The latest version is now 1.0.0.23.

Matt mentioned that the latest version seems more stable and seems to download the message before you read it. Only time will tell. Nobody really noticed it when they upgraded to version 1.0.0.22.

I am installing as I am writing this. Hopefully they have removed the “is” from the status update page… You can pick up the latest version from the mobile.blackberry.com like usual.

They should offer the ability use some or all of the Facebook applications (especially those directly related to BlackBerrys, such as the BlackBerry PIN Exchange)…

    That would be awesome.

Dream on CybaCowboy I wish but the features in the current facebook application are just pitiful. RIM likes to provide only the bare bones. They do a great job with the basics but they never add the cool features unless they have to. For example they gave us a camera and then took 2 years to give us a video recorder. My 6 year old cellphone had a video recorder!
