RIM Is Nurturing The Development Community? RIM è Promuovere lo sviluppo della comunità?
Elizabeth Woyke of Forbes.com has a great article about the need for creative developers Elisabetta Woyke di Forbes.com ha una grande articolo sulla necessità per sviluppatori creativi . The whole article describes how large corporations are doing all they can to foster growth in their developer community. Elizabeth also mentions RIM in this article as a company that is (and I quote here) “doting” on their developers. That does not sound like the RIM development community that I have heard multiple developers complain to me about. Che non sembrare la RIM comunità di sviluppo che ho sentito più sviluppatori si lamentano per me. I don’t remember ever hearing about RIM offering bounties and prizes for great applications. Non mi ricordo mai sentito parlare RIM offre bounties e premi per grandi applicazioni. Last time I checked they only liked sponsoring Ultima volta che ho verificato che solo voluto sponsor bad comedy shows commedia cattiva mostra and e Women & Technology awards Donne e tecnologia premi . I guess they have more important things to focus on. Immagino che hanno cose più importanti a concentrarsi su.
Would it really kill them to offer a little bit of love to their budding theme and application developers? If even Verizon & AT&T understand the advantage of a strong development community why is RIM always acting so conservative? They also don’t provide a lot of documentation on whats going on underneath and their programming examples are very sparse on documentation. Yeah they just love developers. Yeah che solo l'amore sviluppatori. Its not even like they try. Anche la sua non come si cerca. Their marketing efforts are just plain SAD. Le loro azioni di marketing sono semplicemente DAU. The only thing they are good at is engineering. L'unica cosa che si è bravi a ingegneria. It just shocks me that they refuse to even follow the basic practices that have made many other platforms sucessful! E 'appena shock che mi si rifiutano di seguire anche le pratiche di base che hanno fatto molte altre piattaforme di successo!
