Google Maps Updated to 2.0.3 - Once Again, No Changelog
March 12th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
One of our readers Paul spotted a new version of Google Maps on the Google mobile page. Once again there is no changelog for the latest version but I can confirm it does work. I recommend not updating if things are working for you with the older version.
So far reports have shown no significant changes worth updating. Maybe this was just a maintenance release. Thanks Google for the great documentation!
If you really have to have the latest you can pick it up OTA at http://google.com/glm

I have the Google Update app, which still says the latest version of Google Maps is 2.0.1. It never showed 2.0.2 either. Why is this? Only once have I seen the Update app inform me of a new version of anything, which was for Google Search. Can anyone explain why the Google Update app seems to not see the updates?

Nikolaus,
The update app is a worthless waste of 250kb of space. Just uninstall it
