Google Introduces API For Contacts
Now this could get interesting. After Google released an API for Google calendar we had some great utilities show up to synchronize your BlackBerry calendar with Google. This led to Gcalsync and even Google releasing a client to sync your calendar.
I just read on the Google System blog that Google has released an API for Contacts. That means that we will probably start seeing a few new contact syncing applications in the future. Maybe even one from Google.
As Alex points out the only problem with Google contacts is that Gmail adds everybody you have ever emailed to your contacts list. This might crowd your address book quickly.
I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next. This might be one step closer to a BES replacement for regular users who just need PIM sync.
