Sherlock Holmes & The Case Of The Missing BrickBreaker Ball

WakkoSorry guys I could not resist. Stefano sent me a link to one of the funniest RIM Knowledgebase articles I have seen to date. The article is titled BrickBreaker lost ball.

Problem
While playing BrickBreaker (in OS 4.2.1), the ball passes through a wall instead of rebounding, causing the ball to leave the screen and not return.

Cause
When a brick is at the top level and then moves down, a gap may occur at the top of the screen. If the ball hits the gap, it rebounds through the wall and may not come back down again. The paddle is still movable, but the ball is unavailable.

Resolution
Upgrade to BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2.44 or later.

Workaround
Restart the BrickBreaker application.

This article just reminds me of the ridiculous Microsoft Knowledgebase article released in 2007 titled Computer Randomly Plays Classical Music:

SUMMARY
During normal operation or in Safe mode, your computer may play “Fur Elise” or “It’s a Small, Small World” seemingly at random. This is an indication sent to the PC speaker from the computer’s BIOS that the CPU fan is failing or has failed, or that the power supply voltages have drifted out of tolerance. This is a design feature of a detection circuit and system BIOSes developed by Award/Unicore from 1997 on.

MORE INFORMATION
Although these symptoms may appear to be virus-like, they are the result of an electronic hardware monitoring component of the motherboard and BIOS. You may want to have your computer checked or serviced.
