I guess there are quite a few OB/GYN BlackBerry users to warrant a new application from UBSMIS just for them. Quite a few people sent me a link to this software so I guess I will share it even though in my opinion it has really limited market appeal. The software seems to be a mobile reference guide for OB/GYNs to easily lookup information on the go in case they see something they have never seen before. (The doctors in all the Aliens movies could have used this )
Please let me know if anybody finds this useful or interesting. Usually I tend to filter out such news since in my humble opinion it does not interest 99% of the BlackBerry community but I have been wrong before…
From the press release:
USBMIS, a leading provider of mobile medical software, announced the release of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility for BlackBerry handhelds.
Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility provides useful information for immediate patient care, as well as a basis of practical knowledge for a career in obstetrics and gynecology. Based on the revised and updated 6th edition handbook, this BlackBerry software offers mobile access to everything needed to provide comprehensive healthcare to women.
Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility PDA software has over 400 tables, flow¬charts and figures making each topic easier to recall. In addition, there is information on the subspecialties of maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endo¬crinology, and gyn-oncology, as well as a broad base of general medicine reflecting the new emphasis on Ob/Gyn as it expands to include primary care for women.
” This is a superb contribution that is essential for the practice of OB/GYN and womens health in todays setting. As hard as I tried I could not find anything that was missing. This is a treasure. ” – Alan DeCherney, M.D., Editor, Fertilite and Sterilite.
