Find Out What Your Email Campaign Will Look Like On A BlackBerry
Hopefully marketers will start using this new app from ExactTarget. Simon at BBCool just found an interesting press release about a piece of software by ExactTarget. The idea behind the software is that it will allow marketers to find out what their SPAM marketing campaign will look like on different mobile devices including BlackBerrys.
If you have ever opened a marketing email from Brookstone, Sharper Image, Amazon, and a hundred other vendors on your BlackBerry you will see how fruitless of an effort it is. The emails are always sent as HTML with no plain text option which makes them look terrible even with an HTML email viewer on your BlackBerry.
Personally I think it is a great idea for Businesses to better target mobile users. I just delete all these emails immediately from my BlackBerry because they are useless.
