Themes4BB Theme Contest – Win $250!!!

All you budding theme creators now have a new challenge. Steve, the admin of Theme4BB, has put up a $250 bounty for the best theme. There are quite a few rules and restrictions to the contest but I think most are in the spirit of fair competition. This contest seems to be targeted towards the amateur theme community. The rules are:

1. Themes must be in 2 formats a) 8100 & b) 8300 – Zen Format Only (no today or Dimension Icon formats)
2. To submit an entry you MUST supply the .thm files ONLY. You must submit the .thm file for the 8100 and 8300 version in the lowest possible OS version.
3. Themes will be submitted to the following email address: [email protected].
4. Entries must be submitted prior to 2/15/08. Judging the themes will take place 2/15/08 to 2/28/08. The winner will be announced on 2/29/08.
5. Themes must be produced by Plazmic’s Themebuilder ver 4.2.2 (stock) – no alterations to the Themebuilder software allowed.
6. Entries will be posted in Themes Contest Forum. Each Entry will have a voting poll. Voting will commence on 2/15/08.
7. Judging will be based upon:
   a) originality b) design (clear fonts – right sized fonts)
   c) usability (Themes4BB.com staff will be able to test) d) popularity
8. The poll is based upon screen shots of the theme. Themes will not be subject to OTA download until the contest has completed.
9. There must be at least 250 votes(total), in order for the contest to be certified.
10. Poll will be up and running for 14 days.
11. No I-Phone type themes (with i-phone icons)
12. No Vista Type Theme
13. No Mac Type Theme
14. No Leopard (operating system) Type Theme
15. No Unix Type Theme
16. No Nudity or Violent Content
17. No Copyrighted material
18. The top 3 themes will become the property of Themes4BB.com and used in any way that the management see fit.
19. Only 1 Entry (entry consists of 2 themes) per Member.
20. Amateur theme designers only. If you have had a theme published on any paid store (MobiHand, Handango or Bplay, etc), you are not eligible to participate.
21. The contest is open to everyone (with exception to professional designers and staff of Themes4BB.com and family).
22. You must be a member in GOOD Standing. Banned members or members with infractions are not eligible.
23. By entering your theme in to this contest you certify that you have complied with and understand the rules of this contest. You will also certify that you will not publish the theme that you have submitted to any other website. Themes found on other sites will be disqualified.

Prizes: Winner take all. Winner will be paid $250.00 US Funds. This contest is open worldwide. Payment to a winner not in the US will be made via PayPal. Payment to a winner that is a US Resident can choose either Visa Gift card or PayPal payment.
