Well, just gotta add my tid bit of info too. I had recently purchased Eoffice with that ViewAll. I like the Efile utility. But, the ViewAll does not seem to work. I first tested by sending a pdf file from my desktop pc (via the conversion utility Efile Desktop) to my BB 8320. The converted pdf file arrived in the "local" area of my BB as seen by Efile utility that I used. I then used Viewall to see the converted pdf file and it did indeed see the file. I then used Efile to "copy and paste" the converted pdf file to a folder I created on the SD card. Then I went to that folder and could NOT read the converted pdf file. Somehow the pdf file got corrupted when it went from the "local" area to my folder on the sd card using copy and paste. I tried this numerous times, rebooted the bb, reloaded the pgm . STill the same problem. Dynoplex support tried to help but I gave up with them as I got tired of spending so much time on trying to get that issue fixed. The error I kept getting was "cannot open the document".

Hi, Daniel. Ronen sent me the 30-day trial key immediately. I tested eOffice a couple of weeks later, so it was still within the 30-day period. But restrictions still applied. I just assumed it was supposed to be that way. Some sort of company policy.
.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I look forward to the new version. Like I said, eOffice just left me with the impression of an old program that needs some seriou updating/upgrading.

Hi all,

Luciano, thanks for a thourough review. You've done an amount of work to check eOffice functioning. We really appreciate it as well as the result displayed on this page.
There's not much I can add here but some things I cannot however agree with are:

1. We received an email from Ronen Halevy requesting a key for eOffice for a review writer on December, 28, 2007 and our support emailed to Ronen a 30 days key the next day. I can attach or send these emails if possible. If you contacted us with another request please send it to me (den@dynoplex.com) so that I could check our support logs.
2. We have OTA installation. Link is http://dynoplex.com. And of course this link is present in our manuals coming with a desktop installation package or downloaded separately form our web site.
We are planning to release a new version soon with significant improvements so please drop me an email to get in touch with you if interested.

Luciano,

I suspect you will be waiting a long time. I have done testing on Dynoplex eOffice over the course of 4 to 5 years and never seen it work properly.

In response to BlackBerry Beard, I tested a new beta version of eOffice recently and tried that test with the SUM function in eCell. It turns out the sum did not work at all. I reported the problem to Dynoplex and will wait for new versions.

I am sorry, Michael, we just review the programs. You will have to contact Dynoplex's support to solve that problem. They are supposed to be helpful with that kind of enquiry. There are several ways to contact them. Check them out here: http://www.dynoplex.com/support.shtml

Apologies. I meant to say that I can't get the eFile Desktop converter to actually convert any existing files (Word or Excel), which is a pretty fundamental need.

I can't get the eFile Desktop file converter for coverting existing files. It comes up with a Microsoft error message after a few seconds. Any solutions?

Then my review was not kind, it was incomplete. I should have tested the application further. Although who would have thought it would have such a bad bug like that? Thank you for the contribution. I am interested in doing that same test myself, but I am awfully busy right now. Will do in a few days and post the results here.

Having used and tossed eOffice I think your review was actually quite kind.

I can't vouch for the current version of eOffice but the nail in the coffin was this little test which I'd appreciate if you could try and then report the results of:

1) In cell A1 enter a 1; in cell A2 enter a 2; in cell A3 enter a 3; in cell A4 enter a 4.

2) In cell A5 enter =sum(a1:a4)

3) The sum should be 10 in cell A5.

4) Insert a row between rows 2 and 3.

5) Enter a 5 into the new cell A3.

6) The sum should have updated to 15 BUT it will probably still be 10.

7) Verify the formula in the new cell A6 says =sum(A1:A5).

8) Scratch your head and wonder how the summation could include 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 but not actually do the summation.

After numerous useless helpdesk inquiries we realized we couldn't trust eOffice and threw it out.
