StudentBerry - BlackBerry Task Management Application For Students

StudentBerry_File6We have told you about StudentBerry before when it was announced in October but now it has finally been released for public consumption. The application costs $24.99 and is targeted towards helping students manage their tasks. Personally I wish this was around when I was in school.

Check out the software at www.studentberry.com and then you can download it at this link: www.studentberry.com/download. There is no word about a trial but I will try to follow up later once I give it a look. If you feel like checking it out yourself go to m.studentberry.com from your BlackBerry to download the application OTA.

From the StudentBerry website:

StudentBerry is a premier Blackberry® tasking application designed specifically for students. Say goodbye to non-categorized, difficult to track, basic tasks in the standard tasking program. Let’s also go ahead and bid a not so fond farewell to overly complicated, business focused, expensive third party applications as well. StudentBerry is the awesomely simple and amazingly organized alternative you’ve been looking for. Take a look at what you’ve been missing:

And the release announcement today:

It’s been a long time coming, but we are ready to go, so head on over to that download link and pick up a copy or head over to m.studentberry.com on your blackberry and give it a try! Start adding classes and projects and get your student life organized!

Take advantage of StudentBerry’s features:

  • A complete daily, weekly, or monthly breakdown of assignments due organized by class and due date
  • Easy to follow color coding lets you know what you need to be working on first
  • Intuitive large project management: you’ll never fall behind on that final essay again!
  • Course Information including your class times and teacher’s office hours and contact information.
  • Track important dates, like exams, guest speakers, etc…
  • StudentBerry’s intuitive layout and hotkeys ensure you’ll be productive from the first time you launch the app.
  • and more!

And once you’ve been using it for a while, go ahead and let us know what you think!

    Hey Ronen,
This is Ryan from over at StudentBerry, we’d like to thank you for the mention. So you know, there is a 15-day trial version available for download at both of the links you mentioned above. I suppose we haven’t done a good job of making that clear, I’ll go ahead and fix it as soon as I can. Thanks again for the mention!

    Ryan,
No problem. I still have to take it for a test run :) Hopefully I can find a student to review it.

This comes the closest to my ideal task manager. The Rex Wireless app was okay. A bit clunky for my taste. I am not a student. Just a wife and mom. This. StudentBerry seems more intuitive to use. Nice.

If I could get this customized for a general task manager, it would be perfect. The classes screen is great the way it’s setup. I would call it Category instead. That’s how I used it. I like the way the homescreen works. You can roll over the “class” name, and the notes scroll across the bottom. Helpful as another memory jogger. I look forward to using the entire free trial. Most times I delete apps before the trials are completely over. Usually because the app was just wrong for me somehow. I don’t think that will happen with this one. I am not an employee of StudentBerry. Just an impressed future user.

Pam I agree. I wish StudentBerry would come out with a non-student version of the task manager. I am sure it would do pretty well.

Just downloaded the app and it is pretty good. I’m a college student and 25 seems a little high if your aiming this product for college students like me working and going to school just thought maybe I would rant about this a little… yeah I know blackberry’s are mostly corporate and I understand some people have that type of disposable income but I think I’ll hold off for now because at the moment I do not either way its a great app keep up the great work!

I am currently a nursing student and will be trying this ASAP. I heard about it over at crackberry.com. Hopefully I’ll have some good uses with it. Mostly, I am looking for a way to view my week, month, day in order to assess the week/month, and plan my tasks for the day accordingly. That’s a lot to ask for but hopefully I’ll find what I’m looking for.

Good point Rick. I would love to see what a college student would think of studentberry. BTW they did lower the price to 19.95 recently at http://www.studentberry.com/

Nick, let me know how it goes for you!
