Empower HTML Email Viewer Pro To Support WiFi Soon!
I know many of you use the Empower Email Viewer so I think you would be interested in this news. Ani, one of the developers of Empower, has just sent a email out to all of the beta testers about some new bug fixes and the upcoming WiFi capabilities.
I also noticed that the new version of Empower Pro is also available for OS 4.1 devices. It used to be only compatible with OS 4.2 so that is a nice change.
The new version is scheduled for January 31st and should open a whole new door of possibilities. I can hope there will be an option to set different download preferences for WiFi.
I am glad to hear that somebody is finally making some use of WiFi on new BlackBerry devices! While there is no actual need (as far as I can see) for WiFi in Empower I am glad to see it start catching on.

Which is better; BBSmart or Empower for Sprint 8130?
January 21st, 2008 11:52
I personally actually have both. I know BBSmart works on the 8130 but I am not 100% sure about Empower. The new EMV pro brings quite a few new features to the table but BBSmart still has the edge in certain things like notes. I would recommend Demoing both of them to see which fits the bill better. They both have trial versions…
