VideoStreams For BlackBerry Is Actually QuickPlay
When we mentioned VideoStreams For BlackBerry before I was under the impression that it was a new company. It turns out that the application is actually designed by QuickPlay.com which previously had an unsuccessful video player for BlackBerry. So far the application seems to only be for OS 4.3 devices but I find it interesting that QuickPlay has abandoned their previous platform that came out in 2006.
I seems like they are still offering their previous QuickPlayer for other devices but they have moved to a new platform and website for the new player. I guess their $7.95/month plan was not working out so they went to a completely free player. I am curious to see what they have in store this coming year. The original QuickPlayer was ground breaking but essentially a disappointment. Maybe VideoForBlackBerry.com will actually redeem QuickPlay.
BTW: They really need to pick a domain name and stick with it. So far they have both videoforblackberry.com and videostreamsmobile.com for the same service. (Yes I know I am nit-picking)
