Free EA Games Not Released Yet!
We have gotten a ton of emails asking about the free EA Games that were supposed to be available after CES. It seems that “after CES” means not exactly after CES. I have heard no word back from RIM about the games so I can’t offer much more than that.
The website for the promo code has been updated a bit with the following message:
Currently Available for AT&T devices, other carriers coming soon!
Select your Device: BlackBerry 8100/Pearl Games, BlackBerry 8300 Games, BlackBerry 8800 Games.
The problem is that these links take you to buy the games and are not the free versions. The second problem is that even if you try to buy the games you will run into a snag because the website does not recognize a BlackBerry device when you try downloading them. For example if you try to buy the game it send a WAP push message to your BlackBerry with a link to download. The problem is that when you click the link it tells you your device is not recognized.
RIM and EA Games really need to get their act together!
