I will start off by mentioning the fact that this application has no trial which will turn off many potential users but hopefully we will review it soon. The PocketStreamer application is now available for the 8100 Pearl, 8300 Curve, and 8800 series devices and costs $21.95. Yeah I know seriously what were they thinking. Oui je sais sérieusement quels sont-ils penser. I really never understood the idea of not offering a demo. Je n'ai jamais compris l'idée de ne pas offrir une démo. I know sometimes vendors hands are tied by 3rd party license agreements but e-media developed this software themselves… Je sais que parfois les vendeurs mains attachées pour le 3 e partie, mais les accords de licence e-médias développé ce logiciel eux-mêmes…

Possibly it is easy to break.. Peut-être il est facile de faire tomber .. Since all they do is provide streaming addresses of the streams.. Depuis tout ce qu'ils font est de fournir des adresses de streaming des flux .. Does the software have some special way of buffering songs/streams to on board storage memory? Ce que le logiciel ont une façon particulière de tampon chansons / flux de stockage à bord de la mémoire? If not, there are free applications that do similar thing, but my blackberry had terrible buffering problems. I think the part that is interesting is that this is not just for OS 4.3 devices. Je pense que la partie qui est intéressant, c'est que ce n'est pas seulement pour OS 4,3 dispositifs. The streaming codec ability has only been added in 4.3 so I am not sure how they have implemented this for other devices other than the 8130 Le codec de streaming capacité a seulement été ajouté au 4,3 alors je ne suis pas sûr comment ils ont mis en place ce pour les autres dispositifs autres que le 8130

well as far as I know streaming audio still works in 4.2 on java applications. et pour autant que je sache streaming audio fonctionne encore sur 4,2 à Java.

Yeah it does but as QuickPlay proved it was just not up to snuff. Oui, mais il ne QuickPlay prouvé que c'était tout simplement pas à la hauteur de tabac à priser. I really hope they manage to fix that. J'espère vraiment qu'ils parviennent à résoudre ce problème. I have actually heard some confidential information that we will be seeing more streaming video and audio VERY soon. J'ai effectivement entendu des informations confidentielles que nous allons voir plus de streaming vidéo et audio très bientôt. Well guys, I tried out the demo and *I* found it to work great. Bien les gars, J'ai essayé la démo et * I * trouvée à grand travail. I was pleasantly surprised to see many decent shoutcast streams available, and having just picked up an unlimited data plan I figured this would be great for being out and about. J'ai été agréablement surpris de voir de nombreux décent shoutcast streams disponibles, et ayant juste ramassé un forfait data illimité, j'ai ça serait génial d'être et.
So… the demo stopped functioning (demo expired) and I decided to PURCHASE the program. Alors… la démo a cessé de fonctionner (démo expiré) et j'ai décidé d'acheter le programme. I bought it off of the e-mobile site (which actually makes the purchase go through handango, and after a slight hiccup which made me re-do the entire order (I hope I didnt get charged twice), I downloaded and installed (after uninstalling the demo). Je l'ai acheté hors de l'e-site mobile (qui en fait l'achat passer par Handango, et après un léger accident de parcours qui m'a fait refaire la totalité de la commande (j'espère que je n'ai pas obtenir facturés deux fois), j'ai téléchargé et installé (après de désinstaller la démo).
Well, it worked exactly ONE TIME. Eh bien, il a travaillé exactement une fois.
I’m dissapointed to relay that now it does nothing except for indicating “LOADING STATIONS” at the main screen and will not go any further than that. Je suis déçu de relais que maintenant il ne fait rien, sauf pour indiquer "stations de chargement" à l'écran principal et n'irons pas plus loin que cela. Resetting the phone, and all the usual tricks do nothing to solve the problem. Réinitialisation du téléphone, et tous les trucs habituels ne font rien pour résoudre le problème. To be sure this didnt have anything to do with the phone/demo thing, I tried it on my other (identical) blackberry. I *suspect* that it relies on an e-mobile server (or something) to fetch the list of available stations, and I again *suspect* that if that server is down, YOU ARE SOL I could be wrong, but the result is that $21 was just spent to see a pretty blue screen attempting to load stations. Good idea, great when I was able to use the demo - didnt have any issue with buffering and the quality was certainly acceptable, but as it stands - it appears to be a waste of money. Bonne idée, super quand j'ai pu utiliser la démo - didnt avez des question avec tampon et la qualité est certes acceptable, mais comme il est - il semble être un gaspillage d'argent. If it ever comes back on line again - I’ll come back and update this thread. Si jamais il revient de nouveau en ligne - je vais revenir et de mettre à jour ce fil de discussion.

Update: 2 days later - it works. Mise à jour: 2 jours plus tard - il fonctionne. I’d sent a support request to handango, and shortly thereafter received a support response from the developer. J'avais envoyé une demande d'assistance à Handango, peu de temps après et a reçu un soutien réponse du développeur. He suggested I change some of my network settings, but before doing that I went back in and tried the program. Il m'a suggéré de modifier certaines de mes paramètres de réseau, mais avant tout que je suis allé en essayé et le programme. It worked. Il a travaillé. I changed nothing. Je ne change rien. Perhaps they rebooted? Peut-être redémarré?
Regardless, now its working again, with a 2-day hiccup. Malgré tout, maintenant son nouveau travail, avec un 2 jours hoquet. Hope it stays up and working now. Espérons qu'il reste en place et fonctionne correctement. If it does, I’ll be very happy. Si c'est le cas, je serai très heureux. If it doesn’t I’ll post back here. Si cela ne marche pas je posterai ici.

Jess, I am having the same problem. Jess, je suis ayant le même problème. I have been looking at this stupid screen that says Loading stations for 2 days now, and this program has only worked once for me. J'ai été regarder ce stupide écran qui dit stations de chargement pour 2 jours, et ce programme a travaillé seulement une fois pour moi. It’s so irritating! C'est tellement irritant! I don’t know what to do. Je ne sais pas quoi faire. Grrr…

Well, I would like to tell you that my experience has been smooth, but unfortunately since posting originally, the problems have persisted. Eh bien, je voudrais vous dire que mon expérience a été bon, mais malheureusement, depuis l'origine, l'affichage, les problèmes ont persisté. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Parfois ça marche, parfois il ne. Reception doesnt seem to be the issue. Réception ne semblent être la question. Hard resets dont make any difference. Hard réinitialise dont fait aucune différence. Its rather unpredictable. Son plutôt imprévisible.
The only assumption I can make is that its something on their end. La seule hypothèse que je puisse faire est que ses quelque chose sur leur fin. Of late it actually HAS been working (in fact just tried mine again 2 minutes ago and it works!) - QUICK, try yours! Récemment, il a effectivement été de travail (en fait juste essayé de nouveau de mines 2 minutes et ça marche!) - RAPIDE, essayez le vôtre!
Anyways - I DID receive a prompt reply from their tech support (although their recommendation really had no effect and it was simply time that resulted in it working again). De toute façon - je n'ai recevoir une réponse rapide de leur support technique (bien que leur recommandation vraiment eu aucun effet et il est tout simplement le temps qui a abouti à la collaboration). However, you may want to send them a message. Cependant, vous voulez mai pour leur envoyer un message.
Here’s hoping for a more stable version of this to come out in the future. Voici l'espoir d'une plus grande stabilité de cette version à venir dans le futur. I wish I’d spend $5 on this, rather than $20. Je voudrais me consacrer 5 $ à ce sujet, plutôt que 20 $. I just can’t be bothered to get my moola back. Yeah, I have a Blackberry Curve and am having the same issue with pocketstreamer. Oui, j'ai un BlackBerry et je suis la courbe ayant le même problème avec pocketstreamer. . . loading stations. stations de chargement. . . and it never moves. et il se déplace jamais. Its rediculous that they even list a program that is far from error free and then charge $21 for it. Son ridicule qu'ils même liste un programme qui est loin d'être exempt d'erreurs, puis débit de $ 21 pour elle.

Don’t buy this. Ne pas acheter. I installed it on my Curve and like others before me, when I select the app, it stalls on “loading stations”. J'ai installé sur mon Image de la courbe et comme d'autres avant moi, quand je sélectionne l'application, il étals sur "stations de chargement». Worse, when I try to uninstall, everything freezes… my laptop, by Curve, and when I restart, it’s still there. Pire, lorsque j'essaie de désinstaller, tout se fige… mon ordinateur portable, par la courbe, et quand je redémarrer, il est toujours là. What a total waste. Qu'est-ce qu'un total des déchets.

PocketStreamer - Streaming Radio for BlackBerry needs a lot of work. PocketStreamer - Diffusion radiophonique pour Blackberry a besoin de beaucoup de travail. Customer support is not responsive so I thought investing $20 might not be a good idea. Support client n'est pas conforme alors j'ai pensé investir $ 20 n'est peut-être pas une bonne idée. The trial version lags and cuts off when on incoming calls. La version d'évaluation et de décalages coupe lorsque sur les appels entrants. I also experienced a problem with my internet connection. J'ai également connu un problème avec ma connexion internet. I think it is a good idea as I am really tired of monthly subscription fees, but they really need to do a lot of modifications for this program to function properly and better customer support is a must! Je pense que c'est une bonne idée que je suis vraiment fatigué des frais mensuels d'abonnement, mais ils vraiment besoin de faire beaucoup de modifications pour que le programme fonctionne correctement, et une meilleure assistance à la clientèle est un must!

I appreciate the original review, and the many comments regarding the issues this program is plagued. J'apprécie l'examen initial, et les nombreux commentaires en ce qui concerne les questions de ce programme est en proie. For these reasons, I won’t be purchasing this program and will continue to look for a suitable streaming program for the Curve. Pour ces raisons, je ne serai pas l'achat de ce programme et continuera à rechercher un programme en continu pour la courbe.
