BlackBerrys CES microsite is now live. You can either go an register at this link or just be lazy like me and go directly to the microsite without registering .

RIM is touting that you get some free applications out of the deal but don’t believe the hype. The applications are the same free applications you could get before. Facebook, telenav, AIM, and many more. RIM also seems to consider homescreen browser icons to be applications.

The only real news on the site so far is that supposedly there will be a free theme based on Scott Cambell (the tattoo artist) available at some point in time. Not sure when.

The site is littered with broken links and most of it is irrelevant but hopefully somebody will find something. There is a slight mention of MobiTV for the BlackBerry 8130 that I am looking into. I will speak to them about it tomorrow at the show.

BTW: RIM’s public relations agency really needs to get its act together. On the microsite there is a featured link inviting you to come to CES as RIM’s guest for free. It turns out the free offer expired on the 2nd of January which is before the site even went live!
