In this article RIM describes the exact steps you need to take to put your BlackBerry device in lockdown. It does not include instructions on how to encrypt the memory card and device memory but that is a straight forward menu option. BlackBerry smartphones support individual security passwords between four and fourteen characters in length.     I followed your advice and now I'm front of a problem : When someone call me and I have ma phone locked, I cannot see who's calling me, I just have phone numbers. Ik volgde uw advies en nu ben ik voor een probleem: Als iemand me bellen en ik heb ma telefoon vergrendeld is, kan ik niet zien wie er belt mij, ik heb telefoonnummers. I guess it's part of the security method, but I like to disable it, to know who's calling me, also when my phone is locked. Ik denk dat het deel van de zekerheid methode, maar ik wil het uitschakelen, om te weten wie er belt mij, ook als mijn telefoon is geblokkeerd.

    Do you know how to do that ? Weet je hoe dat te doen?

    Another problem with locking a blackberry – if a prankster enters the wrong password 10 times then all ur data goes woosh! Een ander probleem met vergrendeling een blackberry - als een grappenmaker gaat de verkeerde wachtwoord 10 keer, dan zijn alle gegevens ur gaat woosh!
