Google Apps For Your Domain BlackBerry Client Gets Upgraded
I know many people were ecstatic when we announced that the Gmail application got upgraded to version 1.5 so… The guys at Google System have noticed that the Google Apps For Your Domain (GAFYD) client just got upgraded to version 1.5.1. This is big news for us since BerryReview.com mail is hosted by GAFYD. The new version sports a blue icon instead of the standard Gmail red icon. Google System also caught the fact that you can login to your Gmail account from the GAFYD client but not vise-versa.
Personally I never understood why Google has to separate the two different applications in the first place. Are the systems really all that different? Personally I think Google really needs to stop with the whole “Beta” thing. It may just be a marketing stunt but Gmail has been in Beta for over a year! I’m asking myself how it helps them when they are trying to get corporations to move their email to a Beta system. It just seems counterintuitive. Enough of me complaining…
