RIM To Release 4-5 New BlackBerrys in 2008!
I have been seeing multiple reports about a statement by Research in Motion (RIM) vice-president of customer accounts, Gregory Wade, who spoke to Business Standard for an article that was posted today.
He is quoted saying:
We will also announce another 4-5 models in 2008 and all of them would be packed with consumer-friendly applications and design.
Now doesn’t that sound good? I am just curious as to what they mean by a model. Does that mean 4–5 new series of BlackBerrys or 4–5 different handsets. If it means handsets then this is not good news since this year we saw at least 8 new handsets if you count every different iteration of the Curve, 8800, and the Pearl. Hopefully this means that the 9000 Series is coming around the corner. (Fingers crossed)
