Unlocking vendor themes allows you to use the themes from other Wireless carriers on your device. For example if you have an AT&amp;T BlackBerry Curve it comes preloaded with only the AT&amp;T themes. If you unlock the vendor themes you will get access to all the other  great themes RIM has developed for other wireless carriers such as Vodaphone, T-mobile, and Rogers. I love these themes and they are completely free as long as you follow the instructions.
