It seems that there is no shortage nowadays of BlackBerry RSS contendders but another free BlackBerry RSS reader called Mobispine has just been released for public consumption. To be honest I have not had a chance to play with the program myself so I cannot make any promises just yet especially since the program is still in beta. The application did install on my BlackBerry 8800. When you go to mobispine.com from your BlackBerry you will see a download option for BlackBerry devices. I can’t seem to find any more documentation but the application seems to have a nifty interface which is based on images for each RSS feed. Let us know what you think by dropping a comment. Thanks Josep for the tip

Mobispine did not work on my Curve. That’s too bad, I love RSS readers.
Their Web site is abolutely hideous. The desktop version is crammed with Flash and Javascript. None of the Flash worked on my Firefox on Linux, although it works in countless other sites. It must use those detection methods that only work with IE. Pretty amateurish. The amateurishness is confirmed by the mobile version of the site: instead of posting a plain LIST of SUPPORTED phones, they post a long series of pictures of several phones, some supported and others not. What’s the point of including unsupported phones? So the page takes forever to load. Avoid it like the plague if you’re not on an unlimited data plan!
What also doesn’t work on my Curve is this site’s comment section, because the anti-spam challenge question is elided. So I can only post here from my desktop. :-\
BTW, do you know that Freerange just released a new version? It’s still good, but I think I prefer the old version.

Yeah I agree with you Luc. When I tried out Mobispine in the end it was just a piece of $#!+. Pardon my french. They have a terrible website and support is unavailable.
I will work on the comments from your BlackBerry since we have had other complaining about the issue. Does the mobile site look good?
Thanks for the tip about freerange’s update. I just had another one of the writers post about it.

This site looks good on mobile, although I read it mostly from an RSS reader, so I rarely ever get to see it on the BB browser. Just that comment box glitch, I guess.
