Google Rolling Out IMAP Support For Gmail
DownloadSquad got the skinny on Google rolling out Free IMAP support for Gmail. This has long been a sticking point for Gmail and support for IMAP will be rolling out for all users in batches. Don’t fret if you don’t see the option in your settings but it will be there soon. My favorite part is that Google Apps for your domain users will not be left out in the dark again. The IMAP support is also working for many GAFYD users and will be rolled out for the rest shortly. This is a big step forward for Gmail and will allow users to use desktop readers to catch up on their Gmail. I wonder if this will fix the issue of Gmail sent items showing up on your BlackBerry. Now I am just waiting for RIM to find a way to offer threaded emails on my BlackBerry
If your curious you can check out the new IMAP help docs on Google.
