Seidios Rubberized Battery Door With Speaker Opening for Blackberry 8300/8310/8320

8300_battcoverbyseidio.jpgWhen we reviewed the hybrid hardcase by Seidio I was wondering what the cutout near the camera was for. It turns out that Chris Baca was correct when he said that the cutout was for a new battery cover by Seidio. If you have ever opened the back of your Curve you can see how the speaker sound is routed through the back of the device using the battery cover. With the new battery cover by Seidio the speaker does not get distorted by having to bounce off the plastic back of the battery cover. The new battery cover is going for $14.95 on Seidio’s website and is now available for preorder.

Tired of muffled conversations, or just need a new battery door? Either way, the OEM sized rubberized battery door with speaker opening for 8300/8310/8320 is the solution for you! This replacement door has a speaker opening so that users are able to hear ringtones and phone conversations better. It is made from Seidio’s signature rubberized material that provides a firm grip and matches the side grips of the device. This replacement door also includes the necessary cutouts for the camera and has a mirror.

To bad they don’t have matching colors

  2. I actually pointed that out to them :) To be honest I think that is the reason they went with the standard Black. I will be curious to see how this changes the speakerphone quality and if the build quality is comparable to the OEM battery cover.

Thanks again for the tip Chris about the cutout. I try to give credit where it is due. It is interesting to see how much foresight Seidio had when creating the Hybrid Hard case to include a cutout for this battery cover.
